Website checklist for a new trade business
You do not need a perfect brand library before starting a website. A small amount of accurate information and real proof is more valuable than pages of generic marketing language.
Business essentials
Confirm the business name, phone, email, service areas, trading hours, licences and the services you genuinely provide.
Customer-focused service information
For each main service, write down the typical customer, the problem they have, what your work includes and what you need before quoting.
Proof and photography
Collect your best project photographs, genuine review text you are permitted to reproduce, relevant qualifications and supplier or association details.
Ownership and access
Keep the domain, hosting and business email under accounts the business controls. Record renewal dates and make sure more than one trusted person knows where essential access is stored.
